Housekeeping Status

When the page is first shown you will see Housekeeping Status for the current date. Rooms are grouped according to their status. Each group will be shown as a separate entry. To expand a group and view its individual members click the + icon. To collapse the group click the - icon.

Housekeeping Status

You can use the buttons at the left side of the grid to show housekeeping status for today or tomorrow. Pressing the All Clean button will mark all rooms as clean. This will included marking towel and linen changes as completed for those rooms where this is required.

Reset of Housekeeping Status

The housekeeping status of all rooms is automatically reset each day. Therefore, at the start of the day all occupied rooms will have their status reset to dirty and the last cleaned date will be set to the previous days date. Also see note 2

Linen & Towel Changes

The dates for linen and towel changes shown in the housekeeping status grid are based on the number of days between changes you enter into room Cleaning Tasks and the check-in date. If you enter 3 days for linen change and a guest checks into the room on 1-January for 8 days (departing 9-January) the linen changes will be required on 4-January and 7-January. Also see note 1

  2. Rooms that are due to check-out are automatically flagged as requiring linen and towel changes even if the number of days from the last change is less than the values you enter into cleaning tasks.
  3. At the start of each day cleaning tasks are reset. This means that any cleaning tasks that should have been performed the previous day, including any linen or towel changes, are assumed to have been carried out. Therefore, it is not necessary to manually reset the housekeeping status unless you require your housekeeping staff to mark each room as it is cleaned.
  4. The Clean column in the grid is only applicable when viewing the current date because there is no way of knowing the room status for a date in the future.
  5. You can print a Cleaning Checklist and a Cleaning Schedule from the Reports menu.
